Chapter Eighteen Azilu and Erxin lie down next to a large tree. Erxin wiped his brow and closed his eyes. “’Aye, Azilu…ze weatha out ‘ere is unbearable!” “’Aye, Erxin” As they chatted calmly and discussed the good things in life, a group of children and a man were heading toward them, only about a mile away. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< “I can’t believe he’s gone…” Loki said with his head down. “Aw, shut up and keep walkin’. We might be able to get your stupid friend back after all!” Juad smirked. “What? How?” “I might have the perfect thing just to revive that boy. I just so happened to hide it exactly where we are going now” “Where are we going anyway?” asked Zorel. “Oh, just some shed I found a long time ago. I hid a lot of my valuables in it…only in my world of course. That was a long time ago though, probably about twelve years ago.” Zorel’s eyes widened. Twelve years ago… “What’s up, Zorel?” Adain asked. Zorel thought a moment. “Oh, nothing Adain. Don’t worry about it” The group approached a large tree. There were two small dwarves sitting by it, chatting about something. The dwarves noticed them, and quickly grabbed their axes. “’ey Erxin, that be Juad! And he ‘as ‘risoners with ‘im too! Li’l kiddies!” “Yeh, let’s get ‘im!” The two dwarves charged at Juad with their aces raised high in the air. Juad quickly disappeared and left the dwarves speechless. “Where’d ‘e go?” “Don’t worry, Juad is with us. Thanks for the help though, but we actually need Juad” said Zorel. “Need ‘im? Wha?” “You see, a student of mine is in trouble, and Juad has the only item that can save him. We helped Juad, so now Juad is helping us.” “Aye. Well, in case ‘e tries ter pull a trick on ye, we’ll be comin’ ‘long” “Sounds like a plan. First, may we know of your names?” “I be Erxin and me mate be Azilu” “Hello Erxin and Azilu. I am Zorel. Now, let’s go” Juad quickly reappeared. “Well, now that these fools are done trying to destroy me, let’s go. The shed is about an hour ahead” The group walked for about an hour, and found a large shed in a field. About a kilometer off was a house.” “Well this is it. Open it up, Zorel” Juad said. Zorel cautiously opened the large door. His eyes widened, and a tear fell from his eye. A man’s body was lying there on the shed floor. There was a large gash in his stomach, and blood was splattered all over the floor. “Father…” Zorel said slowly. Loki gasped. “Father..?” Without warning, Sorik crashed through a nearby wall with his sword ready. He dove at Zorel with a maddening scream, and shoved his blade into his hand. Zorel clasped the blade, and flung it out of his hand and at Sorik. “Juad! Get it!” Juad nodded, and then disappeared. He reappeared a few moments later with a stone and a strange-looking dagger. He tossed the dagger to Zorel. “Stab him” Zorel nodded and lunged at Sorik. Erxin tossed his axe, and it kept Sorik occupied long enough for Zorel to quickly lunge and plunge the knife into Sorik’s torso. “Gaahh….urgh….” Sorik fell to the ground and closed his eyes. “Is he alright?” asked Makar. “I think…” Sorik rose up yet again, his eyes looking as dark and as dangerous as ever. He darted across the shed, and picked up Juad’s dead father. “Son…how could you?” said Sorik in a mocking voice. He laughed evilly. Zorel dropped the knife and his sword. A tear rolled down his cheek. “Get him! Now!” screamed Adain. “I’m so disappointed, son. You KILLED me!” Zorel screamed in rage and fell to the floor. “I thought I told you to leave that sword be and stop playing with it! You had to play with it, and you killed me! “Stop IT!!” screamed Zorel in rage. “Tsk tsk, letting your anger get ahold of you, eh Zorel?” Zorel grabbed the sword, lunged at Sorik, and plunged the dagger into his jaw. Blood streamed like a fountain from his face onto the cold, hard ground. “Now, I’ve killed you” Sorik hit the floor of the shed, and his eyes rolled into their sockets. Juad gasped. “I only have one resurrection stone…” Zorel sighed. “We can’t bring Sorik back. This dagger couldn’t bring the shadow from his body out. He will forever be part of the darkness.” The children felt themselves crying softly. Sorik was gone. Exin and Azilu took off their helmets and held it to their hearts. “Let’s go home, shall we? Ktsed is waiting for us” “Couldn’t we revive Sorik using Ktsed?” Makar blurted out. “I don’t think we can do that, Makar” Makar glanced to the ground and then back at Zorel. Juad nodded, handed over the stone, then left. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< “I haven’t had a nice, hot meal in what seems like a decade!” Ktsed cried. Zorel laughed. “Well, you can have nice, hot meals for the rest of your time here. No more sadness and evil shall befall this school.” Everyone was truly happy. Sadness for their loss of a good friend in Sorik, but happy for the residing of their dangerous quest. They sat back in their chairs at the dining table, and laughed. All was well.
Epilogue The man stood up. He had no idea where he was. He seemed to be in a dark shed. He looked around and took in his surroundings. There was blood all over the floor around him, and a dead man lay just a few feet from him. What was going on? Suddenly, the shed door opened slightly. An old man walked inside. “Hello” The man glanced around. “Um…hello” “Do you know who you are?” The man thought hard. He had no idea. “No, I don’t know” The old man smiled. “Come with me” The man and the older man walked along a large grassy plain. They talked about anything that came to mind, but said nothing about the man’s identity. After about half a day, they arrived at a large castle. “What is this place?” The old man smiled. “This is your school. My name is…Juad” The man thought a moment. Juad…he had heard that name before. Suddenly, the man saw a flash of light, then his life came back to me. “Sorik” “What did you say, my boy?” the old man asked. “Sorik…” The old man nodded. Sorik glanced at him. “Juad…” Sorik glanced at Juad’s belt. He remembered Juad, he remembered everything. With a lightning-fast twist, Sorik quickly bent down and kicked Juad in the shin, tripping him. He flipped over his body and grabbed the knife from Juad’s belt. Juad tried to kick Sorik, but Sorik flipped back over him and laughed. With a quick motion, Sorik plunged the knife into Juad’s head. He watched the blood flow to the ground. “Hmmph. Amateur” Sorik stood up and walked off into the distance.
And that's it. The story is finally over. Hope you've all liked it.

..... Totally, awesome. But, sadly, not evnough Loki action. Loki should have come in in the end and go "Dude, I'm totally turning Juade into a birhtday cake, and give it to you, even though it isn't your birthday!"
