Chapter Six Kratos held his blade tightly in his hand. Sweat dripped form his forehead to the ground. He kicked down the door and rushed inside. The room was cold and seemed musty. The antiques aligned along the wall were dusty and old. He made a gesture for Karlan and Klasor to come. Karlan knocked down another door, and finally saw their target. “Kratos, be quiet, we’ve found ‘em” whispered Karlan. Behind Kratos rushed in Ageru, who tripped over Karlan’s shoe. “You bocsh! You’ll wake them!” Ageru quickly got up, and covered his mouth. Karlan pulled out a scroll, and reviewed its contents. “Okay, these guys’ names are Ezlan and Irela. They have a son named Ktsed who is currently three years old. Our job is to kill the parents and bring the boy to Juad. Juad says the boy has a mystical power of some kind. How could a three year old have such power? Alright boys, let’s get rid of these guys.” Ezlan and Irela woke up with a start, and Ezlan reached toward a table near his bed, and grabbed a spear. Irela readied herself for magic. “Ah, so we have a challenge then? No problem,” Kratos muttered. Karlan blocked Ezlan’s spear swipe, and Karlan swiftly spun around and jumped to a nook in the ceiling of the room. Ezlan leaped up and piked him with the spear, and threw him to the floor. Ageru quickly pulled his crossbow from his pack and fitted an arrow. He aimed and shot toward Irela. Irela quickly spun around, then said, “Ņurall!” A bolt of lightning shot toward Ageru and hit him. He flew back into the wall and crashed through it. Kratos pulled out his chainblades, and thrusted them toward Irela. Irela was quick to counterattack, “Duuraa!” Kratos’s blades were sent back toward him, and he dodged them, and the blades were sent into the marble fireplace, and were shattered. Kratos, angered, quickly unsheathed his back-up sword, and raged toward Irela. Irela leaped up, and kicked Kratos, then swiftly cast another spell, “Ņurall!” Lightning was shot toward Klasor. Klasor held up his shield, and the attack stripped the shield away. Klasor grabbed an antique axe tacked to the wall and swung at Irela. Irela jumped behind Ezlan, and Ezlan knocked the axe from Klasor’s hands with his spear. “Are you alright, Irela?” Ezlan asked his wife. Irela, startled, kissed her husband softly, and walked away, “There are more of them” Ezlan and Irela rushed down a hallway and saw three more men rush into Ktsed’s room. They dashed inside, but the three men had Ktsed cradled in their arms. “How do you try and take my son!” Ezlan dashed toward the men, but stopped in his tracks. Karlan had dragged himself down the hallway in pain, and stabbed both Ezlan and Irela in the spine, killing them both. “Get the kid, let’s go.” >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Ktsed walked backwards, and ran down the hall. Makar was running, and found Ktsed. “Ktsed! I found Raz, and I signed your name for ya’. Whew…where did you go?” Ktsed shook his head, “I don’t know” >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Adain stood alone in a hallway with Loki. “This is going to be great Adain!” Loki said. Adain nodded, and walked away. “Why must he always be so unhappy?” Loki said aloud. Adain walked down the hallway. For some reason, the memory of that horrible night kept coming to him. He sighed, and decided to head outside. He went outside, and watched all of the other kids having fun and playing. Then, he saw it, the serpent. The same creature that killed his and Loki’s parents.
Very short, but good.

Does nobody in this story have parents? And I thought you said that our parents were the ones that escorted us to Alerd Town! Ohyeah, Also, one of the best ones yet. Well, except for the one where I beat up Sorik. BTW Zorel, I won't have time to post my story today, at least I don't think.

Chapter Seven Adain was playing with Loki at the time. Adain was only ten years old, while Loki was nine, and they were practicing some sword moves with each other. Their home was close to a lake, and it was said to be over ten thousand feet deep. Adain and Loki’s parents were having an afternoon swim in the lake, when the serpent killed them. A year later, Loki and Adain were adopted. They then met Sorik, Makar, and Ktsed, and they all became friends. Adain was stunned at the sight of a serpent. He quickly dashed back inside the building. He met Makar halfway up the stairs. “Makar, I’m going to bed,” Adain looked outside, “it’s getting dark.” Makar frowned, “I thought you liked staying up late.” Adain laughed, “Heh heh, I don’t feel good today. I’ll see you tomorrow in class” And with that Adain walked upstairs and fell asleep. Makar shrugged and went to meet Sorik. They planned a little spar for that day. Meanwhile, Loki was with Ktsed outside, playing with the rest of the kids. Ktsed and Loki met some new friends. There was a girl Loki was particularly fond of named Dearla, and her friends Pora and Ticila. Loki was usually with Dearla, learning about her. “So Dearla, you say your first class tomorrow is Mythical Creature study?” Loki asked. Dearla nodded, “Yep!” Loki grinned, “I have Mythical Creature study too! It’s cool you’re the same age as me.” “Yeah!” “And uh, you’re in the same dormitory.” Dearla blushed, “You like me, don’t you?” Ktsed laughed, “You have fun dealing with that Loki! I’ll just be going now.” Loki frowned. He mouthed the words, ‘You bocsh’, as Ktsed left. Ktsed had met new friends too. A boy who acted a lot like Sorik named Ordain, and his two brothers Juzad and Reekil. Ktsed liked Reekil the most, he seemed to be nicest and the coolest. Ktsed scheduled a battle with him for fun at that time, and he met up with him. “Alright Reekil. You sure you don’t want to back down?” “Nope, I’m not nervous” Then the fight begun. Ktsed slashed with his sword, but Reekil was surprisingly fast and he dodged everything. Reekil was armed with a club, which seemed weak, but Reekil was pounding hard upon Ktsed. At the end of the fight, Ktsed lie face down on the ground, panting and feeling his sore bruises. He coughed, and stood up. “I want a rematch,” said Ktsed as he walked to the dormitory. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< The next day, everyone woke up feeling nice and refreshed. Vendon dashed out quickly to the showers, but Makar, Adain, Loki, Ktsed, and Sorik stayed back and gathered themselves a bit first. They all packed their swords and ink with their quills, and they all headed to Mythical Creature Study. They went outside and walked around the school. They had no idea where Mythical Creature Study was, so they had to just look around. Eventually, near the lake was a short man with some children from the same age group. They all had quills and ink out, ready to write as the man glared out at the lake. They sat down and readied their quills as more students eventually piled into the circle. As soon as about forty kids were seated, the man turned around and spoke in a deep but clear voice. “My name is Salaman, and I am the Mythical Creature Study teacher. The only materials you shall bring to class are your quills and ink, the notebook I assign to you, and the creature we are studying if you are given a creature. Understood?” The children spoke in unison, “Yes, sir” The short man then snapped his fingers and quietly whispered unknown words, and a large board with parchment wrapped around it appeared. He snapped again and a quill dipped in ink materialized. He readied the quill, and spoke again. “Our first creature to study is a complex creature, yet it will be easy to study for it is in our own facilities. It is the legendary Sea Serpent. This is a pretty tough creature to be studying at your first class, but it’s getting you ready for the more complex ones. Your final exam has everything, so pay attention. Alright, the sea serpents name in the mystic language is Ilamunus Remindus. The serpent then emerged from the water, having heard its name. “The sea serpent responds when he hears its mystic name, as you can all see. Okay children, for your first assignment, you must simply visit the sea serpent and make an observation on what it looks like and other things. Next class is on Thursday, see you all then!” The class departed, wondering why class was so short. As they headed off toward their next class, Makar couldn’t help but remember his past. His parents had died that one fateful night. His life was changed upside down. A tear trickled down his cheek. Before heading to his next class, he stopped in the restroom to calm himself. He stood and watched himself in the mirror. The water behind him splashed wildly. Makar, confused, swirled around and observed the water in a toilet. From deep within the toilet, emerged a tiny fairy.
